We have been residents of Prairie Creek since 2009 and have been using Prairie Creek Veterinary Hospital since 2010 or 2011. The entire staff has always been super helpful, very accommodating, and extremely caring. We recently had our oldest pet, Mylee, take a sharp turn for the worst. She went from being a healthy and happy dog to very sick in just a matter of a couple weeks. Turns out, she had cancer and nothing could be done. The vets & staff at Prairie Creek did all they could to make miss Mylee as comfortable as possible in her final weeks. This past Friday, we had Mylee put down before she became totally miserable. The staff at Prairie Creek scheduled our appointment at the end of the day, for privacy. They also had a room already set up for us, complete with nice furnishings, tissues (because my wife & I both cried), and gave us accommodations to respectfully carry Mylee out to the vehicle. In other words, they went above and beyond to take care of an ordinary client. They cared about Mylee and they cared about us. Amazing people.

They are kind, although the staff didn't seem eager to help. The Vet was giving me a look that made me feel uncomfortable. The girl leaning on the counter sipping coffee. The lady behind the counter seemed chatty and not wanting to help. The lady behind the computer seemed into herself, not friendly at all. I felt that we were pushed to the side Tank and I. I got up to get his leash and came back the lady said, "I thought you were leaving, I said "I was thinking about it." I will say the place is clean. Tank did enjoy the bird in the cage. One lady was nice she was actually working with the Vet.

I wasn't going to leave a bad review after the experience I had yesterday. I don't think a bad receptionist is a reflection of a bad doctor, and I didn't want to hinder anyone's reviews because of one bad employee. I simply left and chose to go somewhere else. But I just got a call from someone at the clinic ONLY to tell me that I had gotten confused and was wrong. My anxious (and a bit wild, but only with excitement, not aggression) Golden Retriever started barking when another dog walked in. I did my best to get him to stop, and the front desk girl literally plugged her ears and rolled her eyes. So I left. I wasn't rude, I wasn't angry, I just walked out. She made it very clear that we weren't welcome with that sort of behavior. Sorry for my dog barking? The clinic just called to tell me that didn't happen and that there was a misunderstanding. There was no misunderstanding in what I experienced. And shame on the person who just called to literally gaslight me and then got rude with me when I respectfully stood my ground. You could have just let me walk away, we aren't a right fit for you - our dogs aren't perfectly trained yet - but we're trying. But to call me to literally argue with me about what I experienced is ridiculous. What did you hope to achieve? My business? Odd way of going about trying to have customer service. Sad to see good veterinarians lose clients because of bad staff and now you have a bad review because of it.
