Best Newk’s Eatery my husband and I have been, very impressed with service, atmosphere and food. A good time for lunch here is around 2:30PM. We got more food than we paid for and we love their healthy and delicious food choices. Sandwiches are packed full to the brim of whatever meat combinations you choose from their menu.
I decided to give Newk's a try after having a bad experience many years prior. It wasn't as bad as I remember, but still room for improvement. I got the turkey bacon club and it was good except for the turkey being kinda hard and dry. I also got tomato soup with it and it was good. I'll probably get something else next time.
This used to be my favorite place, imagine my surprise when I found a live fly trapped inside my sandwich container! As a bonus, everything I ordered began featuring classic favorites such as cross-contamination of meats, cheeses, and vegetables on 3 out of 3 sandwiches, and doughy, untoasted baguettes with GIANT inedible piles of onions on them? Plus, extra (fly) protein in this economy? What a steal! In all seriousness, this place was already breaking health and safety norms by all of the cross-contamination, but this order was the icing on the cake, or rather the fly on the chicken salad.
The food is consistently good here. It's clean and very casual inside, too! Great for families. Usually takes 10-20 minutes to receive food depending on how busy they are. Sometimes the orders are missing items, but we always eat in and the staff have been kind about fixing them so we keep coming back!
This restaurant offers a lot of fast, tasty meals, many of them on the healthy side. I had a shrimp avocado salad. The avocado was browning quite a bit--it was cut in the morning, I assume--so wasn't pretty, but it tasted fine. My husband had a chicken Caesar salad and enjoyed it a lot, while our son had a large macaroni and cheese with a bag of Baked Lay's. We were all satisfied with our meals.
